i've been trying to update this blog periodically,
but the more i try, the more i prove a sheer impossibility (^^;)

so how's LIFE?

・・・PRETTY AWESOME, i think XD

yes, i'm still alive :)
WORK is definitely NOT EASY, but i am blessed with a great team. my team is pretty much nice and dependable, so i do enjoy working with them (although my senpai probably doesn't feel the same - LOL). my team mostly speak in japanese, but all the emails are in english, so you guess it: i'm losing my kanji (><;)

two precious months have passed,
yet i'm still learning new things each and every single day. don't sweat the small stuff, or so it says, but you can't help it when you deal with numbers. my work also consists of daily deadline(s), so everyday has been a tough battle against time. and here's what exactly i need: Excel's keyboard shortcuts - and super fast finger skills! of course, a free cup of coffee on the morning has always been an extra help for the day =)

i learned a lot in this company --
about FINANCE, about WORK, and about LIVING A REAL LIFE.
i also found that the following verse hold true:
"I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of." - John 10:10

and thought you might care,
here are some of the things i learned:

0. LEARN SOMETHING - even from your mistakes.
a quote from Brian Houston, "Increase your value so you can accomplish in a SINGLE DAY what once would have taken a THOUSAND days."

1. BE PREPARED FOR THE UNPREPARED.
you never know when your senpai will have her mandatory leave or when your computer freeze before the deadline, so always have a room for some surprises in a day. and of course, NEVER check your Outlook inbox 5 mins before you are about to leave the office!

2. TEA BREAK(s)
everyone needs a break or two, with a cup of tea and some sweets - especially if your job includes a lot of waiting(s). a 105-yen-tiramisu from Family Mart can always get you through the day :)

3. SLEEP WELL - but not on office hours.
believe me, it's been pretty hard to come to the office having slept at 3 am the previous day. so dead. especially when all your other team members did the same.

4. TALK. CHAT. JAM. CALL. MEET.
Genesis 2:18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone ..."

5. TIME IS MONEY.
(do i even need to write some comments here?...)

6. LAUGH-OUT-LOUD.
you've got pretty much work-stressed people around you - it won't help if you add another gloomy person there, y'knaw! it takes 72 muscles to frown and only 14 to smile.

7. BE THANKFUL.
i guess this sums up everything:
work should be enjoyed, not endured :)

... and that's all folks!
stay tuned, and i hope i can see you again at the end of this month.
