this is a question from economic engineering II class. since it seems fun, i'll post it. if u know the answer already, plz keep ur mouth shut^^

a nuclear war has occured, and human race finally faced the last day of the earth. from all the people who were still alive, 14 man and woman were elected to board two rockets which will escape to an unexplored planet. it is speculated that man can live this unmanned planet, but after all that is just a speculation. however, at any rate human race cannot survive without leaving the earth.

just right before the rockets were launched, one of the rocket went malfunction. there was no time to repair it, so the plan was changed to let only 7 people escape with the other rocket. but who should be chosen from the 14 people to board the rocket? and what are the reasons? how should the 7 people be elected so that they could recreate the earth on the new planet?

please decide logically the 7 people who should leave.

MALE

A mathematician (age: 48)

B doctor (age: 62, homosexual, a very skilled doctor)

C musician (age: 22, a rising pianist)

D business scholar (age:34, harvard business school)

E a sect follower forbidden to have a wife (age: 29)

F an engineering grad student from tokyo uni (age: 24)

G junior high schooler (age: 13, a bright student)

FEMALE

H teacher (age:28, single)

I nurse (age:41, single, a veteran nurse)

J dancer (age:19, a young woman full of vigor)

K physicist (age:36, a nobel prize-winning scientist)

L chef (age:25, divorced)

M career woman (age:32, not married, annual income US$ 2.3 billion, very beautiful)

N elementary schooler (age:9, cheerful, have a weak body)

do not forget that ur analysis determines the fate of the second earth.
